Systems Malfunction is a science-fiction roleplaying game that has been in extensive playtesting for four years on the campus of SUNY Purchase in upstate New York. Now, after four years, several hundred game sessions, and four distinct editions of the rules, this brand of post-apocalyptic spacepunk has finally been deemed ready for a public release. With its definitive rulebook finalized, Systems is in its fourth draft, but we have now arrived at what we are proud to call the real "First Edition". Expect to see Systems Malfunction cropping up at game stores, conventions, and all kinds of places over the next few years. If you are interested in playing Systems, running Systems, buying Systems, or are just curious, please contact Devon Oratz, the game's creator, line developer, and editor at ghostlightgames (AT) gmail (DOT) com. In the mean time, returning players can finally download the complete and definitive core rulebook from this site, eliminating the need for a constantly-updated wiki. The zipped download package includes a PDF of the current rulebook. A free font called Neuropol designed by Ray Larabie is also included in the bundle- install it to ensure you can view the rulebook as it was intended to be read. Finally, a Systems Malfunction character sheet is included. The download link is currently unavailable, however if you are in need of the download, contact Devon on the forums. |
