*Long rant about being the eye of the drama storm.*

(I'm glad I got this out of my system, but it is less professional than I would like to appear. Also, let's bring the TA release notice a bit further up the page, shall we?)

At least in IRL drama, people are accountable for what they say and do. If you and I get into a row, no matter how vicious or vitriolic, we're going to have to face up to each other and the things we say will have real consequence. That's why, when friends or lovers get into fights in the real world, or when people pick on you, there usually comes an end to the fight or the drama, and people end up comporting themselves with some semblance of dignity.

Since none of this exists on the internet, people like to take out their dickishness by being assholes to total strangers for a laugh. They won't stop even if someone acts in a reasonable, adult manner, since reason doesn't exist on the internet.

But you can pride yourself in saying that you acted better than they did and in the end it will show.

Hi.

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions regarding my intentions and/or tastes regarding Max's games. This bothers me not necessarily because I think they are unfair so much as they are untrue. I acknowledge that a certain denomination of the RMN population posts replies/comments/whatnot with the intention of haranguing/provoking Max, or attacking him, but this was, at least, never my intention.

To prove there is still reason even in the dark corners of the internet, I have come before you all, far away from the eye of the drama storm where there is no one here but us, to resolve this dispute in a civil matter.

Speak and I shall listen.

Myself and the Ghostlight crew have a pretty busy weekend Solitayre so it's not a super-great time. That's okay it will give me an opportunity to be brief for once.

In general, I never thought that you were trying to abuse, harass, or provoke me. I just regret that your tastes and my games are so misaligned--not for the fact itself, but because your weighted reviews on RMN may be causing less people to play my games (which in turn, causes them to receive less positive reviews, which in turn causes less people to play them, ad infinitum, vicious cycle). You state your opinions as fact which I can be a bit sensitive to, but I recognize that is a necessary part of reviewing.

In other words, we have no beef. Swears.

I've never assumed any personal animosity from you (or returned any)--and mccleverly is almost certainly referring to people who really are total and absolute fuckwads.  I won't mention their names because I don't want them, like the proverbial devil, to appear.

And welcome to ghostlight? Aside from hidden forums reserved for people I know IRL, we're really quiet, but hopefully that's changing little by little.
